Industrial Fabrication Services
Edwards Inc. fabrication and finishing facilities are over 100,000 square feet under roof and are equipped for the fabrication of ASME code vessels, carbon steel and stainless steel pipe, heavy ductwork and large assemblies requiring heavy metal fabrication. We also offer structural steel fabrication and specialty alloy and carbon weldments, custom laser cutting, state-of-the-art CNC plate cutting and punching, CNC controlled pipe cutting, as well as automated pipe and tube welding.
We specialize in structural platforms, catwalks, machinery bases, dust collectors, conveyors, tanks and specialty items for clients throughout the world. We excel in fasttrack projects with critical delivery dates. Edwards Inc. has fabrication capacity in excess of 50 tons per week.
Our detailers are equipped with the most advanced computer-aided detailing system available. The SDS/2 3D detailing software by Design Data is a totally integrated software package that is tailored for structural steel construction and fabrication.
ASME Fabrication
Edwards Inc. holds ASME A, S, U and PP stamps as well as a National Board R stamp. We are authorized and have experience in fabrication and repair of boilers, power piping, and pressure vessels in accordance with the latest editions and addenda of the ASME Code.
We are authorized by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors to complete repairs and alterations to code vessels in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code and the Edwards Inc. Quality Control Manual.
Third Party Inspection
Edwards Inc. uses the North Carolina Department of Labor - Boiler/Pressure Vessel Division for our Authorized Inspection Service as required by the ASME Code. Our working relationship with this group allows us access to Authorized Inspectors 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
NDE services are provided in compliance with appropriate codes:

Welding Procedures
Edwards Inc. has ASME and AWS Certified Welding Procedures using the following welding processes:

Structural Steel Fabrication
Edwards Inc. offers structural steel fabrication with our state-of-the-art CNC production equipment such as our punch plasma, beam line and angle line. Automated Plate and Pipe Processing
Edwards Inc. offers state of the art CNC plate cutting, punching and processing as well as CNC controlled pipe cutting. Edwards Inc. also utilizes the most up to date drafting and nesting software.

Heavy Metal Fabrication
Our heavy gauge custom metal fabrication operations allow us to offer services for customers needing much larger custom fabricated parts or projects requiring much thicker, heavier gauge, materials.

Industrial Finishing
In addition to our fabrication facilities, we maintain a 28,000-square foot environmentally-controlled finishing facility. Our finishing shop includes a dust-free booth to meet most any industrial and automotive coating requirements.
